Delivering your products to the customer on time and in a flawless condition is one of the most vital parts of running an ecommerce website. So after you have received an order, you need to create a shipment that will be delivered to the customer by the courier partner.
Once you have successfully logged in to your GMAS account the following steps will help you to create a shipment for orders.
Move your cursor to the left side of the window and click on the fourth option of “Order Settings”.
Click on the first option of “Orders”.
A list of all your orders will appear on the screen.
Click on the truck icon in the same row as that of the order you want to create shipping for.
You will land on the “Create shipping request for order no. ” page.
Fill in the relevant details.
Invoice value- Enter the price of the product being delivered.
Invoice number - This is the order number or you can say bill no. which is unique for every order.
Invoice date- The date when the order was placed by the customer.
Courier partner- Select the courier service from the drop down menu which will carry forward the delivery of the product.
Now you will find three subsections. Fill in the relevant details as described below
Pick up address - You need to provide the detailed address from where the shipment will be picked up by the courier service.
Pickup name - Enter the name of the merchant or the vendor from where the shipment will be picked up by the courier service.
Pickup phone - Give the mobile number of the merchant or the vendor.
Pickup ZIP/PIN Code - Enter the code of the specific area where the warehouse is located.
Pickup address- Provide the address of the warehouse or any other place from where the courier service will pick up the shipment.
Pick up date and time- Set a suitable date and time for the pick up of the shipment.
Pick up Country - The country where the warehouse is located.
Pick up city - the city where the warehouse is located.
Pick Up state/province- The state where the warehouse is located.
Pick up email- The email ID of the merchant or vendor.
Delivery address - These details of the customer are auto populated i.e. they are automatically filled .These details are given by the customer when he places an order.
Drop name - The name of the customer.
Drop address - The address including flat/house no. where the shipment will be delivered.
Drop phone - The contact no. of the customer.
Drop PIN/ZIP Code - The area code where the customer resides.
Drop city - the city where the shipment has to be delivered.
Drop country - The country of the customer.
Drop State - The state of the customer.
Package details - You will mention the details of the shipment so that the courier service can decide the conveyance and act accordingly
Short item description - Give a short description of the product that you are sending. For instance mention the type of the product, is it a clothing item or furniture and its colour, to avoid future discrepancy. In case of multiple products do mention the quantity.
Approximate length - Give the length(in centimetres) of the complete package and not the product.
Approximate breadth - Give the breadth(centimetres) of the complete package and not the product.
Approximate height - Give the height(centimetres) of the complete package and not the product.
Approximate weight- Enter how much the shipment weighs(in grams).
TIN - Enter your TIN no. .
Order type - Select from the drop down menu whether the product is Prepaid or Postpaid.
Cash on delivery amount - In case the order is postpaid, enter the amount to be paid by the customer at the time of delivery. Incase the order is prepaid enter the amount as 0.
Once you have filled in all the details, just go through them once again to check for any errors. After checking all the details click on the “Ship now” button at the bottom of the page.
