The Facebook Messenger chat plugin enables you to merge messenger on your online store; it will be displayed on each page of your store. By using your Facebook’s account, you can easily integrate the plugin to let your customers converse with you directly.

There are 3 steps to enable facebook messenger-


  1. Enabling App on Facebook


In order to enable Facebook App, please follow the given link to set up the facebook tool-

  1. Pasting the Script

After setting up the tool, you will be able to get the script.


  1. Getting Facebook “Page ID”

Follow the below mentioned steps to get the Facebook Page ID:

  • Log in through your Facebook account.

  • Go to your Business’s page.

  • Go to “Settings”.

  • Click on “Page”.

  • Click on the “About” section.

  • Scroll down and look for “Page ID”.

  • Copy and paste the ID onto <ENTER-YOUR-FACEBOOK-ID-HERE> in the above mentioned Script.


Steps to paste the script on your GetMeAShop online store to enable the customer chat plugin button:


  1. Move your cursor to the Menu on the extreme left.

  2. Click on “Apps”, the 13th icon in the Menu list.

  3. Click on “Facebook Messenger”, the 4th section in the drop-down menu.

  1. Copy and paste the “script”, inside the “Box” under “Script” heading. 

  2. Tick mark “Enable” option to enable the chat plugin.

  3. Click on the “Save” button.

  4. Move the cursor to “Go To Shop”, on the upper right corner to view how the customer chat plugin looks like on your online store.  


How to Disable the customer chat plugin:


  1. Move your cursor to the Menu on the extreme left.

  2. Click on “Apps”, the 13th icon in the Menu list.

  3. Click on “Facebook Messenger”, the 4th section in the drop-down menu.

  4. Untick the “Enable” option.

  5. Click on the “Save” button to disable the chat plugin. 


Note

Domains must meet the following requirements to be whitelisted:

  • Served over HTTPS.

  • Use a fully qualified domain name, such as https://www.messenger.com/. IP addresses and localhost are not supported for whitelisting.

  • SSL is a mandate.
